Electrical Engineer – Grosvenor Mine, Moranbah QLD
Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing the day-to-day technical support on all electrical aspects of the underground mining operation. You will be familiar with a range of surface & underground equipment as well experience with development, mobile and longwall equipment.
As one of the technical electrical experts, you will be responsible for the delivery of projects over their full life cycle ensuring that they conform to standards and regulations, meet site function requirements and are aligned with budgets and schedules. In addition, you will be required to prepare scopes of work, cost estimations and tender packages and will facilitate project forecasting, scheduling and resources allocation. You will be accountable for ensuring safety controls are implemented for all stakeholders through the installation, operation and maintenance stages of the project.
To be successful in this role you will possess an Electrical Engineering Degree and either recently completed or at the end of your current graduate program. You will have a sound knowledge of underground mining and demonstrated experience working across all areas of an underground mining operation. Your exceptional communication and negotiation skills as well as your passion for continuous improvement will be key to your success in this role. EEM qualifications not essential however highly regarded.
You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to the ZERO Harm philosophy they have at Anglo American Coal.This is a permanent position, on a Monday to Friday roster based in Moranbah, QLD.
