Dump Truck Operator – WorkPac Group
About the Role
Reporting to the production superintendent, you will operate mobile plant equipment, consisting of CAT 793 and Komatsu 730 Haul Trucks.
This is a drive in drive out (DIDO) role for an open cut coal mine in the Banana Shire situated 2 hours South West from Rockhampton and 7 hours North West from Brisbane.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate mobile plant equipment, consisting of CAT 793 and Komatsu 730 Haul Trucks.
Work Lifestyle roster (4/5, 5/4, 5/5) including PJ Day
12.75 Hour Shifts
Minimum 6 months experience operating Mechanical Dump Truck CAT 793 or Electric Dump Truck Komatsu 830
MUST Have SSE/Delegate Signed Skills List or Unsigned Skilled List Supported by RII's [...Learn about RII's]
Experience operating under the P&H Electric Rope Shovel on the CAT Trucks is desired
Current Drivers Licence
Current Coal Board Medical or willing to Obtain

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
You can transfer your nationally recognised civil Excavator, Front End Loader or Dozer tickets only to RII Black Coal Competencies.
Standard 11 Mining Induction
The Standard 11 is a workplace health and safety package for the Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII).
If your job means you must access a a Queensland coal mine site - you'll need a Standard 11.
The Standard 11 covers essential safety and procedures training designed to keep you and other workers safe from injury and harm when working on site.
