An absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards and ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace is essential. It is imperative that you possess the ability and aptitude to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with mine working procedures.
About the Client:
Client is Australia’s largest coal miner and exporter, the world’s largest supplier to the sea borne coking coal market and largest coal producer and supplier of metallurgical coal. The client has several mine sites across the Bowen Basin consisting primarily of open cut mines.

To be successful you must have:
- Min 3 years supervisory experience with in the mining industry
- Extensive experience with Loader, De-Waterer and Heavy Vehicles
- SSAN Clearance
- S1 2 3 and G2
- Current Standard 11 *Standard 11 Training* Induction
- Current Coal Board Medical
- Current Driver’s License
- Demonstrated experience leading change and high performing crews
- Sound Work History
Site inductions are not mandatory for this position and can be arranged to complete if required. You will be required to produce verification of competencies for the above-mentioned tickets and have a minimum 3 years experience operating within a mining capacity.

The Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
The Bowen Basin covers an area of over 60,000 square kilometres in Central Queensland running from Collinsville to Theodore and is dotted with many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
