Dozer,Grader & Dump Truck Operator
Client is Australia’s largest coal producer and exporter with several mine sites located across the Bowen Basin in Queensland. This company currently has several opportunities available and is is currently seeking safe, experienced and skilled candidates to join to their production team.
About the role
This role will see you predominantly operating a variety of equipment including 16 or 24 Graders, D10 and D11 Dozers as well as Komatsu 930 and CAT 797 Trucks in the Prestrip Overburden Department on a coal mine site located near Moranbah.
To be a suitable candidate for this vacancy, you must have:

- Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain)
- Standard 11 Induction Training (or willing to obtain)
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Proven experience and RII’s for Dump Trucks, Dozers and Graders

All of your meals and accommodation as well as the induction costs will be supplied by the client. There is also an opportunity to receive a Temp Worker Recognition Bonus after 6 months of continuous work.

About the Bowen Basin
The Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
The Bowen Basin covers an area of over 60,000 square kilometres in Central Queensland running from Collinsville to Theodore and is dotted with many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
