Diesel Fitter – Locomotive Maintainer
WorkPac is partner with Rio Tinto Iron Ore and together are searching for Locomotive Diesel Fitter/ Maintainers for their Dampier workshop.
As a Maintainer, you’re primarily accountable for:
- Fault finding on Locomotives.
- Installation and servicing, component changes and repairs to systems and equipment
- Maintaining records pertaining to maintenance programs in accordance with the requirements of our Rail
- Safety Management System and relevant engineering standards.
As a successful applicant you should possess a trade certificate, preferably in a rail related field, although other heavy equipment maintainers are encouraged to apply. Knowledge and experience in maintenance in a heavy engineering industry, demonstrated knowledge of rail safety legislation and risk management will be highly regarded.
You will have a positive attitude, effective problem solving skills and be keen to contribute to continuous improvement to meet our reliability, availability, and safety standards.
This position is offered 8/6 FIFO Perth or 6/6 Residential to Karratha/Dampier area and is an ongoing casual contract.
Excellent interpersonal and organization skills are essential for success, plus a good level of computer literacy and time management skills.
