WorkPac are looking for Dump Truck Drivers that can operate CAT 785, 789 and 793 trucks for work out in Middlemount.

  • Competitive Hourly Rates + Super On All Hours

About the Role:

Reporting to the production superintendent, you will operate mobile plant equipment, consisting of CAT 785, 789 and 793 Haul Trucks. As a key member of a high performing team, you will play an integral role in implementing the client’s production requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate mobile plant equipment, consisting of CAT 785, 789 and 793 Haul Trucks
  • Work rotating 7/7 roster (including PJ day)
  • Pre-start checks
  • Maintain equipment
  • Operate equipment safely
  • Follow company policies and procedures

Skills/Experience:

  • Min 12 months mine site operating experience
  • Drivers Licence
  • Current Standard 11 *Standard 11 Training* Induction (or willing to obtain)
  • Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain)
  • Site SSE/Delegate signed skills list or Unsigned with supporting RII's [...Learn about RII's]
  • Dumps & Tip Heads experience
  • Black Coal Competencies for Haul Truck and Water Truck Operation
  • A medical including drug and alcohol testing is required as part of the recruitment process.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.

Standard 11 Mining Induction

The Standard 11 is a course that provides skill and knowledge required for working in surface coal mines under the QLD Mining Inspectorate Recognised Standard 11.

If your job means you must access a Queensland coal mine site - you'll need a Standard 11.

The Standard 11 covers essential safety training designed to keep you and other workers safe from injury and harm when working on site.
