Environmental Coordinator – Capcoal Underground Operations

Reporting to the Safety, Health and Environment Manager, you will be responsible to facilitates the management of the environment function for the Grasstree underground mine operation, providing guidance and service to operational personnel to ensure timely delivery of the Environmental Improvement Plan (EIP) and compliance to corporate and legislative requirements.

The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for developing the site environmental programs with a requirement to lead a small team of environmental professionals to achieve and maintain compliance with all relevant environmental authorities, legislation and regulations.

You will be a demonstrated leader within the Environmental field with knowledge of Environmental Management System ISO 14001 standard being essential to the role.

You will possess degree qualifications and 5 years of experience in an Environmental Role (preferably within the Coal Mining Industry).

This role will provide you with the opportunity to advance your mining career in a dynamic mining environment and to gain experience across many different disciplines as an environmental professional.
