Mineral Processing Project Improvement Leader
Reporting to the General Manager of a large and complex mineral processing operation this is a key leadership role designed to take the operation into the future. The role will act like an internal consultant working directly with the SLT in the identification, assessment, study and delivery of major process improvement projects across a number of key assets.
Projects will typically be between AUD$30- $80mil although the role will have impact on a wide range of initiatives focus on improving asset performance and return on investment. Similarly the role will work closely with management and operations to develop formal business improvement, assessment and project processes and systems with the ultimate goal of embedding a culture of continuous improvement and project excellence. Functioning like an internal consultant the role will have a high degree of flexibility, ownership, need to collaborate and engage contractors and consultants.
This role will suit an experienced professional with a processing or related background (likely a Metallurgist, Chemical or Processing engineer) including projects and continuous improvement. It is ideal for a current consultant/ manager/ principal/ superintendent or similar with experience working in an owner operator and or consulting environment. Strong commercial and full project life cycle skills are essential as will experience using BI methods. Focused on safe, practical assessment, delivery and adding value is important.
