Drill Operator job for an Immediate Start in the Dysart Region with your commute to work provided. 6/6 Roster!

Client is Australia’s largest coal producer and exporter with several mine sites located across the Bowen Basin in Queensland. This company currently has an opportunity available for an Experienced Blast Hole Drill Operator on a 3 day, PJ, 3 night, 6 off roster (6/6).

Your new role

This position will see you working as a Blast Hole Drill Operator in the Production Mining Department, working on a 6/6 Day & Night Roster.

This role will see you predominately working on the Sandvik DK90, Atlas Copco DMM3 and Pit Viper 275 Drill Rigs.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must have a strong safety focus, be a team player and have previous or current experience as a Drill Operator on a coal mine site as well as experience on the above drill rigs.

As well as holding current or previous Drill Operator Experience, you also must have a current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 Induction Training; or willing to obtain.

What you’ll get in return

This role offers you an immediate start in the Bowen Basin area working on a 6/6 day and night roster with your commute to work, camp accommodation and meals supplied by the client.

You will be paid super for all hours worked on site and there is also an opportunity to receive a Temp Worker Recognition Bonus after 6 months of continuous work.

About the Bowen Basin mining region, Queensland.

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.

The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.

The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
