Alpha Coal Project

Alpha Coal Project

alpha coalThis major project has as its centrepiece the development of an extensive thermal coal deposit in Queensland`s Galilee Basin.

From the four principal coal seams, two main seams will be targeted within the first 30 years of mining. Infrastructure will include the construction of approximately 500km of rail, port facilities, mine infrastructure, process plant, a commercial airstrip and workforce village.

Location

The coal precinct will be located in the Alpha region of the Galilee Basin, rail link from the mine to the preferred port location of Abbots Point, north of Bowen in Queensland.
