Adani’s primary contractor Downer Group, said it will begin a massive tour of central Queensland searching for workers who have the skills to begin construction operations. The search will be on for all trades, concreters, form workers, road construction, labourers, TA’s – you name it.
Plenty mining jobs for the Queensland
Adani has always promised plenty mining jobs for the Queensland communities adjacent to the mine, and now they are delivering on it’s promise.
Downer’s recruitment tour will include the indigenous communities of Woorabinda, Cherbourg and Palm Island.

Adani said the next step in its regional employment strategy would include Downer Group touring regional Queensland to meet job seekers at employment fairs, which it hoped would help to create a positive outlook for the regions.
Downer has five confirmed events on the calendar, with additional events to be announced in the coming weeks.
